Will I be locked into a long contract?
No. Every plan operates on a 30-day rolling commitment. Annual contracts are offered at a discount but are never required. Cancel any time and you'll get a full data export inside seven business days.
Do you actually move money on my behalf?
No. We connect through read-only OAuth scopes for every processor. Refunds you choose to issue are triggered through your processor's own refund API, executed under credentials you control. We never see or hold funds.
What does the success fee actually cover?
It applies to revenue that the platform either wins back via representment, intercepts via a pre-dispute alert, or prevents through descriptor and ratio interventions. We don't charge for losses, and we don't charge for disputes we choose not to fight.
How is your representment different from sending a templated letter?
Every representment is generated by an engine trained on 4.6M defended disputes, with reason-code-specific argument structures aligned to the latest network rules. Each case is enriched with AVS, CVV, IP, device, shipping and CRM evidence — and high-value cases are reviewed by a senior specialist before submission.
Which processors do you integrate with?
Native integrations with Stripe, Adyen, Braintree, Worldpay, Checkout.com, Nuvei, Authorize.Net, Cybersource, Paysafe, NMI and 42 others. If you're on a processor we don't support yet, we can usually add it in two to four weeks.
How long does onboarding take?
Most merchants are operationally live inside three to seven business days. The longest steps are usually internal: reviewing default rules with your risk team and confirming descriptor strategy with your acquirer.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You receive a full export of every record we hold within seven business days. Production data is then purged from primary storage inside 30 days and from backup storage inside 90 days. You can request faster deletion in writing and we'll honor it.
Are you certified for SOC 2 and PCI DSS?
Yes. We carry SOC 2 Type II with annual refresh and PCI DSS Level 1 scope. Both reports are available under NDA for prospects in active evaluation, and renewed under our existing contracts for customers.
Can I see your data residency options?
EU customers can be hosted entirely within EU regions. APAC residency is available for enterprise contracts. We do not transfer personally identifiable data outside the designated region except under written customer instruction.
What's the difference between an alert and a representment?
An alert is a notification from the issuer (via Visa RDR, Ethoca, Verifi or Mastercard CC) that lets you refund the cardholder before the dispute becomes a formal chargeback — which means it never hits your ratio. A representment is the formal response you send after a chargeback is filed, arguing the case to the issuer. ClaimShielded handles both.
Can ClaimShielded help me get out of a monitoring program?
Yes. Enrollments in VAMP, VDMP and HECP can usually be cleared in one to three billing cycles depending on volume and processor. Our enterprise plan includes acquirer relationship management — meaning we negotiate the remediation plan with your acquirer on your behalf.
